Contest Success Functions

This research paper has concretely laid the foundation of Contest Success Functions and now can be used without any hesitation seeking just the analytical simplicity of the function. Various CSFs can now be identified and compared for their apt use in special cases of conflict.
What I find, is still missing, is a microeconomic foundation of these CSFs. We have used various axioms and stated various functional forms satisfying the axioms but still, the functional form for technology of conflict can be better established by having a proper insight of what actually goes on amongst the players. Likewise, here we have quantified the efforts put in by the players to find the probability to succeed but how to quantify some special skills which are unbeatable like Maradona. He cannot be in every team and the skills he has are not quantifiable as it is not possessed by anyone. Skills which can be acquired by learning can be quantified but what about talent!
